Nauset Psychiatry was founded by Dr. Jean-Frederick Villars. Dr. Villars was trained at Harvard Medical School and the University of Pennsylvania. He has 45 years of clinical experience in both physical medicine and mental health care. He is certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. He is a Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association, the American College of Surgeons, and the American College of Cardiology. His practice specializes in patients with complex conditions involving both medical and psychiatric illness. His therapeutic approach is existential, and psychodynamic, addressing the question “How did I come to be the person I am?” Treatment includes evidence-based modalities of modern psychiatric care. Office locations are in. Orleans Massachusetts and Philadelphia Pennsylvania. Patients are welcome from across the Northeast and mid-Atlantic including Maine, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware. All sessions are held virtually through an encrypted video platform.
